Thank you for your sacrifices and you continued service to your God and to your country.

God bless you and your loved ones who suffered with you while you were a POW.

When I went to cursillo, one of my fellow pilgrims said, "this must be what heaven is like." I agreed with her; everything we did was out of love for God and one another, while we were there. And the program was designed for us to take it with us. But I asked, "what happens when we go back into the real world?" The response was quick and unanimous - "This is the real world." I agree with that, too. The Kingdom of God is the real world - we live in a shadow world of our own making. The real world is as you have written - adoption of the prayer of St Francis. Thanks for the urgent message.

Amen! Amen! The current rector of a large suburban church told me in 2004 that he felt like he had his arms stretched in both directions as far as they would go, and his hands were hanging on to the hands of those on the left and on the right. I pray that we in the middle can continue to hold on to those who pull each way and bring all back to being the church we are meant to be.

Thank you for sharing your blog! I'm saving this for Lent 2012. Several points sparked for me, but 'reconciliation' keeps coming back. (If you go to church, I guess that just automatically happens). But thinking about making it more focused!
